Welcome to the SF Bay Area Poetry Scene. This is probably not even half of the events and readings that go on here. The San Francisco area has its own Poet Laureate, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, and is one of those cities that has a long history associated with poetry. There are large thriving communities in the Bay Area.
