Perry Sams - Poem
Icarus Dies Young
Leaving her husband,
she found a man.
That man was me.
The man who understands.
No rights or wrongs about it,
Just free love-- or so the inquest says.
We were not immoral
maybe above morals
in our craving to be held.
This sky has been here
for a long time,
it won't miss me falling,
and neither did she.
Maybe for a moment it was more.
Staring right into the sun.
Maybe the sky loves me.
& the earth just rose too fast.
