Editor's Note
Welcome to the first issue of Gravity. My goal in creating this webzine is to offer
greater exposure to able writers, a luxury not often afforded them by the huge publishing conglomerates
who answer to Sony instead of to people who give a damn about good writing.
Harrumph.
Gravity will be a monthly as long as I have enough submissions to make an issue
worthwhile. That said, the submission guidelines are as follows:
- Poetry
- Free and blank verse preferred: Haiku, sonnets and other "traditional" forms ok, but you'd
better do it well! Almost any subject fine, but no porn or gratuitous violence. Erotica great.
Poems will be printed as I receive them, so if you use unusual puncuation, blank space, etc. make
sure it appears as you want it in the e-mail or just send it as a text file.
- Prose
- Short fiction, essays, and stream-of-consciousness narratives sought! I especially want
to see some good progressive political writing, and reserve the right to refuse mean-spirited
work. I won't edit for content, so if I don't like it, it'll just come back to you.
Thanks for stopping in. I hope you enjoy the first issue.
