A Told Untold Tale


Through the Dark tunnel Of an unforgettable past She came Flying into my dream Halo on her head Flapping her black wings She came And froze My mother's last kiss On my sweating forehead
The setting is a convent in Germany during the Second World War. The 'she' is a nun running the convent. The 'I' is a little German girl being sent to the convent together with her sisters. Their parents were occupied with helping to smuggle Jewish artists out of the country.
