The poem makes us remember that which we have forgotten: this that we really are.
- Octavio Paz

Hello, and welcome to Gravity's third anniversary issue! As always, the thanks go to the readers and writers that make this worth doing.

With issue 28 we welcome John Nettles, Cindy Duhe, Shoshauna Shy, Adam Graham, Christina Paradis and Jeffrey Alfier for the first time, as well as a number of Gravity veterans. I've dusted off my music writing to bring a review of a CD by Ani DiFranco and Utah Phillips to the party. Read the poetry - this is the final issue before the Rainy Day Records/Gravity Contest issue in September/October, after which we're going to shake things up some around Rancho Carle.

Speaking of the contest...this is the last issue before the winners are published all by their lonesomes in issue 29, so that means you have a little over a month to submit. Get them in now, and make one young man's dream of arts philanthropy a reality - go to Rainy Day and buy stuff!

Also - we've got some new books of poetry coming up soon from some nifty people. Stay tuned!

And hey - dangle a modifier now and then. Keeps them guessing.
