gravity twenty, editor's desk

The nifty quote on this month's splash is from Poetry and Mathematics, an equally nifty little volume and one I'm sure is long out of print. My edition was published by Lippincott in 1962. One of those book sale gems.

Hey, Gravity turns two this month! No celebrations planned - I'm saving that for the anthology release party. Still, we've got a bunch of folks new to the 'zine this month (read Carmen Butcher) and the return to these virtual pages of Spark is cause enough to open that champagne.

Did I mention the book?

We're just about two-thirds of the way to raising the subscriptions we need to send this puppy to press! It's a best-of, and will include people like Michael McNeilley, Ruth Daigon, Jennifer Ley and a host of others. Subscriptions are only $10, and you don't even have to cough it up until late summer at the earliest. Buy the book!

The Rainy Day Records/Gravity Poetry Contest is coming along, but we need submissions, people. No reading fees and you have a shot at $200, $100 or $50.

Oh - Michael Downs and Julia Cohen, y'all write me concerning your submissions when your email works again.

Read and enjoy -
