Issue 17, April 1998
Editor's Desk
So this is what recognition on the Web brings you. There's almost too much good stuff
in this issue of Gravity to cover here.
Read Fanny-Min's poems. Right now. This issue is dedicated to the memory of Christina Becker. Thanks, Fanny-Min.
The material from the other gravitistas is spectacular this issue. Read David Donlon's
powerful long poem. Peter Casey gives us a portrait of life in Atlanta's Grant Park. Dancing Bear,
William Burns and Perry Thompson all kick much poetic butt.
Among the Gravity newbies - and good Christ would you look at all the new talent here! - let
me direct your attention especially to Izabel Ganz, Cheri Amey, Janet Buck and Jody Solis. Hell, it's all good.
Finally, the review. If you haven't caught Chris Chandler in person, you're missing out. The man
tours constantly, so stay awake and catch the experience.
Wait, one more thing. Caron Andregg asked me to announce that she's accepting submissions for the
California Poetry Calendar through May 31. Submit, dammit.
Enjoy!
