Wow, is this issue ever late. For all those out there whose lives turn on the appearance of a new Gravity on their browsers, I apologize. :)
Actually, I've come to consider this (after all my whining last issue about the lack of submissions) Gravity's "breakthrough issue". There are ten (10) writers represented here with great work, many of whom first heard about the 'zine through the grapevine. They include several new faces - including some women, thank whatever Gods/Goddesses are watching over fledgling webzines, the first two non-American writers seen in these pages since the first issue, and a young "junk poet".
You'll notice that this is a "double issue", for both October and November. This is both to get the mag on the right track and because this issue is so late. The next issue will be for December and will (with any luck) be out at the middle of November. Wanna submit? Send me your stuff starting around the first of November.
I can't give enough thanks to the writers who've sent me their work since July. Putting the musings of ten minds into usable HTML, and then eyeballing it all on two different browsers, is somewhat akin to creating a great meal from fresh ingredients - making spanikopita, mixing a Caesar with your hands, opening the chardonnay.
Well, hell. Now I'm hungry, and it's after 9 p.m. FYI, several of the folks who have consistently sent me poetry post regularly to rec.arts.poems on Usenet. Check it out, but you can't leave until you've read Gravity first.
So there. Leftovers, anyone?
