Dave Gitomer - Two Poems

Once Turns
once mild winter
turns blooming spring
once yellow match
turns blazing inferno
once hard seed
turns new sapling
once all empty
turns searing wisdom
once dismissed
turns truth
once ignored
turns present

April Beach Scene
vistas beyond imagination
the sea stretches vast
shades of chartreuse
blends of blue
tones of tan
in complimentary fashion
dark blue sky above
punctuated by white cloud fluffs
nothing more as far
as eyes can see
restless waves
cycling recycling
dashing against turgid sand
creating hues of brown
wet dark dry light
leaving debris of yesteryear
natural and synthetic
horseshoe crab shells dot timeline
omens of summer to come
but today
it snowed
its cold
its deserted
its best
like this
