Meandering Through Vermont With Alice

Indian Summer 80
degrees in
October
got sandwiches at Bayley-Hazen store and
fruit tarts
mine fell apart on
the drive to Lake Harvey
where a man in
a blue
pickup
stopped
so his
dog
could swim
that dog loved the water
didn't
want
to get
out
his owner
patient
calling waiting
the dog
just like a
little child
staying in
until
the very last
minute

took pictures

the lake 
fall foliage
cows

packaging up
Vermont.
