Gravity began publication in the summer of 1996, having been conceived over a nice bottle of Riesling. Over the years, many of the best writers online have been published here.

Submission Guidelines, or The Law of Gravity: Gravity is a bi-monthly e-zine of poetry and prose. Deadlines are announced on an ongoing basis for upcoming issues. Send 1-5 poems or prose (essays, short-short fictions, journal entries) to 1,000 words to submit@newtonsbaby.com. Send work in the body of your email, not as an attachment. Do not send the URL of a page of your poetry as a submission. Response time will vary wildly from immediately to a few weeks, depending on how overextended I am.

Read an issue or two before submitting.

Previously published work is fine, but let me know who published it first and when.
Simultaneous submissions not accepted. Works are released back to the author on publication.
